Ben Shaw-Ching Liu is Professor of Marketing at School of Business, Quinnipiac University, USA. He holds Ph.D. from State University of New York at Buffalo (1991), Master of Art in Religion from Trinity International University at Chicago (2003), and Bachelor of Science & Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan (1977).
Before coming to USA for graduate studies (1986), he worked in the industry including running his own business for 9 years. He was an Assistant Professor at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign 1991–1999, a Visiting Professor to Washington University in St. Louis 1999-2000, and an Associate Professor of Marketing at Butler University 2000–2007. He is a Visiting Professor to various MBA, EMBA programs in China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
His major research interest is in the areas of service marketing, internet marketing, cross-cultural, negotiation, channel, and new product strategy. His research has been recognized in the international academic community with various awards. He has published various articles in such journals as Journal of Service Research, Journal of Service Marketing, The Service Industries Journal, Journal of Product and Pricing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice, European Journal of Innovation Management, Journal of Foodservice Systems, Journal of Internet Commerce, International Journal of Internet Marketing and Advertising, International Journal of Business Research and Systems, Managerial Decision Economics, Journal of Comparative International Management, Journal of Business and Policy Research, Journal of Academic Librarianship, etc., He was also on the Editorial Boards of such journal as Journal of Service Research.
